hue and me

Apoorv and I spent the weekend on collaborative art. We started on opposite sides of the paper on Friday night till we met in the centre on Saturday afternoon! No thinking here- we just let go.












Other random thoughts- Saw a scary movie called 'An inconvenient truth'. It's a documentary on global warming- worth a watch. Displaced weather shows up in Delhi with an unusually pleasant May with rain pouring down just when you wish for it!

wakes to the evening star
wishing for the night sky to spread out the rug across the sky
its time for an evening walk
monsters in the head just slept for a while
I have time till tomorrow
till they rise from their slumber
its short time
my feet are warm from the bonn fire
a comet streaks across chasing her own dream
can I hop on for a ride?
I got a night to go
then will be whisked away
to the pavement
not the waterfall

indulge in a sweet I have avoided
convey an affection
pause to respond today
someone needs my help
can I solve everything?
i dare not assume i can
I need help myself
to scramble up the night sky
the rug is giving in
relax, dont try so hard

affection doesn't have to be a burden
nor a toll on me
just think it
radiate if you can
anyone can catch it
but i have to mean it,
really feel it
else it wont matter
not the waterfall, not the evening star

Roll with it!

a 15 hundredth of a desire spiking into the brain from the back of the head is scroggling through my hair and swizzles the scalp, and I reach for the itch but when I look up, I sense a breeze I missed which I wished I kissed. I wonder at the blunder and let it go again. Is it a pang of standing shirtless in a forest at the edge of a waterfall- wishing I bit the bullet and jumped, or is it me standing on a pavement, about to cross the road to complete my reduler scheduler againer? Another day goes by and I kept wishing I was in a forest, a river, a nobody near a nothing, nothingness for something more meaningful. If not this, then a higher sky, you liar- try. A cloud to rocket past, blast past the half mast at last. A biker no, a hiker no, like her? yes. Mess, mess, mess. Passionate people cry at work. A plate of anything is a king's meal when you're famished, a well earned meal can make me happy.

O please get lost- don't take the fun off life. It's all about getting lost once in a while.

I waltz into my kitchen one Saturday morning and ponder over the burners. Hmm. something simple and clean today? Well, not that it's any different from eggs and milk but it was about doing it differently today. Here goes. 1 capsicum, 1 onion, 2 tamatoes. Slice them- not dice. One gets to taste the vegetables better when sliced, else the dicing mixes the taste. Slice all three and mixed them around in a pan for a minute with salt, then cover it. Let it cook on a low flame for 20 minutes. Go change the cd, look out of the balcony for a while, then get back. Hmmm, now for the eggs. Now here's where I got creative with my food.
I make a ring shape with the vegetables and break 3 eggs in the centre. Then draw the vegetables closer to the centre- so the white gets packed in. Lets this cook for a while. No masalas- just clean vegetables with egg.
