love love love

The loss is irreplaceable and damage deep. We could get back to our lives like it did not happen. But it DID. This will change us. We will now morph into another kind of people. Or animal. You will know you are changing when you go into limbo for a while; contemplating. You tend to stare at nothing in particular, restrict your movements and restrain from expressing freely. You may see futility in a whole lot of things and feel despondent over more. Of course, you will get back to life. But not the same way as you did in those wonder years. That era is gone and that paradise lost. Don't like it? Well, we did this to ourselves. So what's the way out of this orbit? There is no way. It will only intensify. There is a better way to take things ahead.

Love all you can. Nothing else is worth it.

of plants and worms

When worm eat plant, insecticide sprayed to save plant.
Nobody remember worm.

crossing sides

Have long thought of a comic strip- with a female protagonist. The challenge here is, can I think like a woman? Although I am far from the deep, sensitive types, I think sometimes I know what goes on in a female mind; but I'll never really know- since I cannot experience the female physiological experiences that entwine with the female mind and concoct that vicious cocktail which is still a mystery to date- and the menfolk never see it coming- getting socked, hit, clobbered, intoxicated, run-over, knocked out, ambushed, blown away, smitherened, bazooka-ed, fire-in-the-holed, every time, and the recipe will always be as abstract and inexact as an unpredictable response from a woman when you expect her to react after a certain self-approved, so-called knight-in-shining-armor act.

This I take on myself. To know what I never will in its true sense. Nevertheless, I shall try. My next post will be the first of the strips.

lights out, roll it

This movie watching spree is out of control now. LAst week, I had seen every flick that was playing in a multiplex nearby. I ask myself- what good is this? Are there any learnings from this insatiable appetite for the celluloid? Do I take back more than I had before I lost more of that hard-earned money to that eager ticketeer waiting for another lost soul looking for solace in a dimmed out room? Am I any more cerebral today? I just feel sometimes, I can do this. GRab a handy cam, film something. Edit it a bit. Replay that, add something to it. It can be about- people watching people, different locations invoking different behaviour from the same people, or maybe, nothing at all.

The act of capturing people on camera is basically vouyeristic. The difference is, an actor gets a certain head rush in imparting that pleasure to you. The cameraman is a custodian of that sensation and the viewer is the hungry, salivating wolf- waiting to catch the lamb off-guard. Its a sticky web. You keep going back to the lair waiting to catch that lamb. Before you know it, you are not the predator, but more likely the prey.

Now here's one hell of an articulate person.

of mars and venus, and other stuff between us

Its funny how perception of an act changes with gender. Here's what I notice- in fidelity- when a woman cheats, its her prerogative, her freedom to choose who she wants to be with and not, it's liberty. When a man cheats, he's beinga bastard and a two-faced creep!
Gluttony- when a man hogs, he 'needs those calories'. When a woman over-eats, she's 'pigging it out'- unless she's pregnant.
Work- when a man is engrossed in his work, he's busy and focused. When a woman works alone, she's 'clearly not a team player'. When a man is on leave, he's 'got stuff to handle'. When a woman is on leave, she's 'looking out'. More when I notice things...

Other meanderings through the week- check out Fashion. Good flick- well made stuff I think. Priyanka Chopra was ok but Mugdha Godse was so...so..oh-my-god-someone-bang-my-head-on-the-steps-of-her-house-till-she-walks-out-and-takes-me-in-and-caresses-my-wounds-so-I-can-die-in-her-lap. She was great.
Other movies are not so happening. Roadside Romeo was ok. Its a great effort from homeland but we just cannot run away from the same tadka we put in our khaana and our movies right? C'mon guys stop beating to pulp the same dog and bone show over and over again. Please... we see the same idea in our regular stuff- jeeez grow up guys... 3d doesnt necessarily add dimension to your story. But I have nice things to say as well. Charlie Anna's character I liked. I just hope you havent copied from somewhere. Now that will break my heart and make me go howl at the moon. Ok too many puns... enough.

This is a couple of years too late, but nevertheless, found this song by Jason Mraz.

Wordpress it is!

I have moved to Wordpress. After much introspection and discussion on what Blogger and Wordpress are capable of, I figured a one-stop shop...
