insomniac VI
I'm beginning to develop visions of what my own home / space / pad will look like- starting with an 8 x 8 foot laminate of one of my own photographs on one wall, a 100 rms music system on a rack with my music and books, a rug to drop my feet on in the morning to ponder a little before I stand up, one of my paintings on the wall behind the bed, a little table to dump stuff on and of course a large window opposite the bed- so the natural light can flood right in and make a quite Sunday a beautiful day to stay all day indoors and do absolutely nothing at all.

Da book? Not really...
Just finished reading this book. I have to admit it's a page turner but what was the fuss all about?! Didn't quite understand where the plot was going; though quite interesting from the 'research' point of view. It's cute, really- how the author comes up with all those 'facts' and weaves the story with it.
By the way, do not get all emotional over the 'facts'. This book is nothing more that a work of fiction. For me, this was 4 years of art school and 6 months of French coming together in one reading. A must for graphic artists or anyone interested in iconography and symbolism- golden proportion, Renaissance paintings, star of David. Symbolism exists in our conversations when we obliviously refer to Egyptian gods in our daily slang or even pagan fertility gods when we raise two fingers in a 'v' shape behind a friend's head when a photograph is taken. If I'm ever in Paris, I'm heading straight to the Louvre.
Only way to finish this one is to keep the damn phone off on a Sunday. Last time I ploughed through a book was MY bible - the fountainhead.
Just to get another perspective of things, check this- http://www.ewtn.com/library/ISSUES/DaVincde.htm
What I still can't get over was the 'last supper' being used as evidence on Christ's life- as though it were a photograph... lol... it's a painting!!

misery
i tell my switch side
keep busy so you spiral
upwards and not down
headreel in love of my work
dis-joints me from all
tapasya? dunno man
love surge for work realising it's purpose
looking up i see a bird...
peering from the corner of its eye- wondering,
what's this guy upto
what i'm upto, is the headspin
for the love of warm sunshine
in receding winters
euphoria shrouds the reality check
water unwashes
random thoughts that cling onto hair
like a child holding onto a dear granny
you and i are- one!
but when you smile
everything around appears pointless
I couldnt tell you ever how i feel
i wouldnt
or it would ruin the secret love for you
nursing the secret makes me miserable
i love that misery
keep busy so you spiral
upwards and not down
headreel in love of my work
dis-joints me from all
tapasya? dunno man
