saw 'd'. Trust rgv to pick an endearing, unkempt nobody to light up on screen and play a budding gangster. Kinda liked it. Loved the scene where he emerges from the dark, unarmed, lights up a cigi amidst seething mobsters aching to fill him with lead, keeps his cool and begins to negotiate. The problem is that the movie has no variation- bugger wins right till the end; unlike 'company' which had so many ups and downs in the protagonist's life.
also loved the scene where he's talking to this girl and so sweetly says- "koi log doctor hai, koi engineer hai... main gangster hai."
also saw the trailor of 'parineeta'. it looked like a movie that seeked the emancipation of a woman in a soffocating marriage, exemplifying the turmoil she faces and implores an audience to watch it with a certain degree of sensitivity and empathy. If I'm right, I don't want to see it.
time out needed to pack a slr and a sketchbook in a rucksack, sit astride a royal enfield and ride off to anywhere
