NOISE - online booze for GDP, please

Today's news with a lesson from the days story-
In India, internet contributed 5% to GDP beating China (3%) as Jairam Ramesh ruffles feathers by saying IITs and IIMs are not world class while Strauss Kahn's semen found on hotel maid's shirt and his women staff are demanding a female boss as liquor prices are expected to rise next month and too much coffee hinders conception.

Take for the day?- The hell with coffee and buy booze online today and celebrate if you are not a brilliant genius coz it wouldn't have mattered but keep your manhood in your pants when in public domain especially if you have a great career ahead of you

Calligraphic Pangram quickly bestowed with zeal in a jiffy, not vox pop!

For years now, I have been testing calligraphy pens with this pangram-

The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.

A pangram is a phrase that has all the alphabets in it. But today I shall cook up my own, whether they make sense or not, which includes the title of this post. So here's all these years of education and upbring funneled into concocting nonsensical phrases, just to see how the nib of this pen tumbles over the topography of the paper and tackles the terrain with trite text!

Advise maximum calligraphy to kind zealots, jobs of questionable vows!

Jazzy vixen celebrities with hard-earned access spawn pique amongst excluded, face wannabes!

Patriarchal wisdom benefits queenless jokers vexed by gizmos!

learning art through impart

I give art classes to 18 children at an NGO school- Saksham in Gurgaon. Teaching 8-14 year olds art is a multi-dimensional wake up call. Imparting the same knowledge I received 15 years back gives me feedback from younger minds on their ability and observation. From proportions, stick figures to a full fledged super hero is a tough trek for them to climb, but they seem to enjoy the difficulty level. The ability of the children to copy from the board is high, but recall of basic principles in the next class is still a challenge. I may be pushing my luck with 10 year olds here, considering the fact that I was 23 when I finished with my 4 year diploma from art school! But children today are smart and the formative years is a good time to sow these seeds in. The class is full everyday, and drawing on the blackboard is another experience altogether. Today, we moved the notch a bit higher- to comics super hero. This was a tough one and manykids refusing to draw beyond the line figure! But its a journey and its ok.

Two decades of Parikrama and Indian rock music

It's always a pleasure to be at a Parikrama performance. When it comes to entertainment, they deliver. Indian bands normally meet a lot of criticism and trash talk for sundry reasons like not being original or being heavily influenced by 'Rest of the World' music. Well, not any more; and here's a measure of a band's success. One is the time factor- being able to stick around and putting up with a heckling crowd, armchair critics, and the most grueling- each other. The other factor is the energy created with the performance at the location. They bring the zing thing- that tingling sensation that runs through the terrain of your skin when the music meets a certain emotion. Be it covers or their own songs, we feel it. These guys have stuck together for 20 years. Keep rocking guys. Here are some other Indian bands (barely the tip of the iceberg) who I have had the pleasure of listening to- live, and photographing.

Wordpress it is!

I have moved to Wordpress. After much introspection and discussion on what Blogger and Wordpress are capable of, I figured a one-stop shop...
