The India Design exhibition - ID 2014 was on at NSIC Grounds from 14-16th in Okhla. The event showcased Indian interior and product design skills in collaboration with foreign players. It was a grand spread of opulent ceramics, furniture, fixtures, organized color application in homes - an experience in itself. My favourite display was the collaboration between Apartment 9 and Klove, and the fire design products.
Color families organized in living spaces-
Interactive lighting that works with your pedalling-
A decked up auto rickshaw-
Walk through installation simulating a child's thinking process, with a matchbox theme-
Fell in love with these fire design products. It runs on ethanol and is smokeless, but expensive. This piece is imported and costs Rs.50,000 upwards-
Insane blowglass installation above the dining table at Apartment 9 and Klove-
Me fooling around with an installation at the entrance. On a serious note, this was a very inspiring experience created by amazingly talented people.
