new york, new york!
The self click in the city that never sleeps- Too much energy here! went on long walks- sometimes till 3 am, all over 5th, 6th and 7th avenue in the times square area, combed the streets from penn station till metropolitan museum of art along central park, bodies exhibition (finally I saw what I have studied for ten years), moma (the museum itself is a work of art), madame tussauds (they worked on the stubble for godsake), the Apple store on 5th avenue (do not miss this if you are an Apple fan and happen to be in times square).
Dropped in at wall street. A self click with the bronze bull was on the list for a very long time. My chinese sign is the ox and I like the aggressive stance of the wall street bull over the much tame, relaxed, feng shui bull. People climb on him, hang onto his horns, squat between his hind legs to get photographed. Had the poor thing been alive, there would have been a blood bath there.
300 pictures in 6 days- which do I upload?! Ok, will dose it up slowly :). I really missed the world trade centre- what a sight that would have been. Did go past ground zero though. Its amazing that such a behemoth construction was managed in such a small area.
The thought that ran through my mind all the time was- when will India makes its own times Square? We have the stuff to create it... some day I guess... anyways... All thanks to my colleagues and fab place of work for this trip.

Goshaini
Total Retreat, Total Surrender.
Strolling down the river (and trying something stupid)-
Aargh! Time to get back to reality-
This is 30km after Aut, yes that beautiful winding road after Pandoh Dam. Instead of taking the left into the new tunnel towards Manali, we took the right. I'm through with Manali; which is now turning into one big slurry trash bin.
The roads are undergoing work on the Goshaini side. Cell connectivity weakens :), the valley gets greener :)), the air gets cleaner. Its all getting surreal when Raju Bharti's home appears on the right of the milestone that says 'Goshaini 0 km'.
We parked on the roadside- but to reach his place on the other side, you get into a single seater cable 'cart'. Karan and Varun, his sons and 3 resident dogs- Johnny, Yati and Phebe welcome us. All you hear is the river. This place has non of the conventional hotel facilities since it's mainly a private residence- making this the best drive-out in the hills, all-time, for me.

Now soak up the pics-
The dogs in the house followed us every where. I recall even the last time we were at a river, we had a mutt giving us company!
