work like a slave, eat like a king

take this a little ahead shall we?

work like a slave,
eat like a king,
work out like a soldier,
travel like a vagabond,
love like you're made for it,
hug like you live off it,
converse till your head empties out,
browse till nothing surprises you,
learn till you're satiated,
experiment till people think you're a frikking idiot.

auto expo 08

was at the expo this time. as usual, the best things were the oldest. the classics got unmanageble crowds this time.

whoever drove these babies had a life- real full blooded lives!!

imagine... much cleaner air, green fields, empty roads...
and you and your 3000 cc v8 engine! aaaargh... those days are so gone gone gone.

There was a triumph-
and there was a triumph-

the rocket 3.

Hmm... imagine going to work in this-
but of course, the big fuss that caught everyone's fancy was this baby-
gotto give it the tatas. they did this against way too many odds.

goa

Just spent 4 fab days in Goa, God's own country. Sorry... is that taken already? Well then.. God's Own Allure it is. Let's see now- in retrospect, what was it exactly that made it fab? Surely not the partying and the boozing- we've past getting our kicks out of that. To start with, it was the audacious 12-hour Mumbai-Goa drive (all 1500 km of it up, down and around Goa), the sheer indulgence in sea food (absolute threat to aquatic life that we are) and red wine, sprinting along the beach in varca, margao (not as crowded as baga anjana or calangute where the sea of humanity can make you run into the sea), parasailing (one more time), eating off the streets and other simple things that went into making it all one fab gastronomic trip.
Leaving beautiful Panjim at 6pm obviously meant cutting it too fine for our 11 am flight the next day from Mumbai. Anyway, though we were exhausted, we decided not to hurry and kept to a steady 60 kph through the night. Anand, Kamal, Pradeep- you made this a great one.
All thanks to Amit for letting us have his car. Cheers Khosla- you're a star. The Santro- this baby is a rock; not a single puncture throughout the trip with 4 pretty heavy dudes in it- 'specially on the way back. nuf said, pictures now!

To end with a huge applause for the total duke-of-hazard taxi driver who got us to the airport through peak 9 30 am mumbai traffic. You da man.
It's been a great year with 10 trips out of town. Hope to top it this year!

Wordpress it is!

I have moved to Wordpress. After much introspection and discussion on what Blogger and Wordpress are capable of, I figured a one-stop shop...
